BEST FEATURE DRAMA
The frontier boys
(USA – 107’)
Directed by John Grooters

The film narrates a series of extremely realistic events. It is riveting, not only thanks to the excellent production, direction and acting but for its description of the power of love in its highest expression, of friendship and the efficacy of prayer..

BEST SHORT DRAMA
The butterfly circus
(USA – 20’)
Directed by Joshua Weigel
  • EUROPEAN PREMIERE

To make a film that has an “eternal” impact is a challenge that few meet. This short drama represents an excellent example of cinematographic art at its highest level and is a wonderful example of hope narrated by means of a truly extraordinary “parable”.

BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY
Spurgeon: the people’s preacher
(UK – 75’)
Directed by Crawford Telfer

This documentary has two great qualities: on the one hand, the excellent screenplay and historical reconstruction of the characters (who really existed) and of the extraordinary testimonies of their lives which are alternated with images and clips taken from film archives: on the other hand, it’s ability to draw the spectator into the narration.

Give voice to those who have none

The Festival aims at becoming a place in which those who “have no voice”, can express their tragedy, thus creating a greater awareness in the general public. Every human being deserves respect and the right to live in dignity yet violence. Our aim is to help those who are suffering the consequences of violence (both men and women) to embark on a path of healing that will lead them out of those psychological and spiritual prisons (within them and outside of them) in which many victims of abuse are trapped.
